Swing Gates
If you are looking for swing gates you will need to think about what they are going to hang from. You may have existing brick piers, if this is the case you should seek advice from our surveyors as to their strength and condition. If you are having new piers built we would recommend your builder fits a steel post in the centre of the pier to give lasting strength and stop your walls from breaking off at a pointing line. Swing gates look great but they need room to swing and are not always practical for short driveways.
